Ann Turkel still struggles to endure her separation with Richard Harris, even though they only dated for eight years. Turkel is a native of New York. She was born in Manhattan and has a Jewish, middle class family, went to the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy at the age of 16 years old. Within less than a week the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the first Vogue Cover, along with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among America's most well-known models, appearing on the covers of major magazines including Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and numerous others. After two years Ann hit the international markets performing well for a number of companies in Europe and Japan as the face for such cosmetic giants as Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
