The actress who was an Vogue cover girl magazine, lives today on the streets of Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel still struggles to endure her separation with Richard Harris, even though they only dated for eight years. Turkel is a native of New York. She was born in Manhattan and has a Jewish, middle class family, went to the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy at the age of 16 years old. Growing up in Manhattan, Ann always had a gift for entertaining. Ann began dance lessons in the age of five and her interest in the arts continued throughout college. Her grandmother is credited with inspiring her creativity. Ann has been studying voice, dancing, and acting since the age of her first child. Ann studied acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse and Musical Theatre Academy along with Sandy Meisner, Philip Burton along with other top coaches around her 16th birthday. Ann began a band with high school friends and soon began to sing. The Pajama Game " and West Side Story were among her plays performed at Berkshire Playhouse, Stockbridge in Massachusetts. Ann's participation with her group as part of a fashion-themed event was the point at which Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Within less than a week the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the first Vogue Cover, along with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among America's most well-known models, appearing on the covers of major magazines including Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and numerous others. After two years Ann hit the international markets performing well for a number of companies in Europe and Japan as the face for such cosmetic giants as Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
